Swimming on Fridays

I’m going swimming now once a week instead of the jog that day. I thought jogging was hard, wow! So, today I did more than last week; I did 6 lengths, one at a time, resting about 3 minutes in-between each, and then I did one froggy and doggy paddle type length to finish it off. I got into the pool feeling sorry for myself. The local council (municipality) pool stinks, the toilet stinks, they have many rigid rules, and I miss my lovely gym. However, they do have a long pool which forces you to swim a whole length.So, flagging half-way through my second length, I rubbed both my Thumb points with my forefingers as I swam and kept singing in my head:”I am a good swimmer, I enjoy swimming for health”

The second part, with “enjoy” in it just didn’t sit well, but I persisted, and by the end of the second length, I was enjoying this swim! I feel really good, more toned and breathing better.
