Serenity Prayer EFT Tapping

In my new life, sincee mbarking on a journey of recovery some 12 years ago, this winter is the last winter that I will feel painful hardships. Everything is going slowly according to plan and there is light at the end of the tunnel. I was printing out the Serenity Prayer for my students tomorrow and found myself crying at the second part of a version I have. So I tapped:

“Grant me patience with the changes”that take time,

“Appreciation of all that I have,

“Tolerance of those with different struggles

“And the strength to get up and try again

“One day at a time.”

I kept tapping on the KC, the finger points and tapping the KC and the BN simultaneously, releasing many tears, reminded of the hope, of where I am going to in life, that this is the last winter of such hardship, that there is only one more and then it’s the end, the start of a real life. I feel so priviledged with “appreciation of all that I have”.  It puts things in perspective.

For those of you searching for the Serenity Prayer, here it is:

God, grant me the serenity

To accept the things I cannot change,

The courage to change the things I can,

And the wisdom to know the difference.

Grant me patience with the changes that take time,

Appreciation of all that I have,

Tolerance of those with different struggles

And the strength to get up and try again

One day at a time.

When you have a chronic physical condition, anything that either emotionally or physically has a negative impact on you can make the condition worse. EFT is one way of throwing away the emotional rubbish collecting in your system. In the same way that we dispose of our household rubbish regularly for home cleanliness and hygiene, I use EFT to dispose of negative emotions for my optimal physical health.
